About the group

As a family-run group, we take a close and considered approach to our businesses, preserving their individual focus while making decisions for the long term.

Managing Director

Robert Staunton

Robert co-leads The Staunton Group and oversees its education businesses. He holds a master’s degree in Social Science from the University of Edinburgh, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cambridge, an RSA qualification in English language teaching and postgraduate Early Years Professional Status.

His career spans mainstream, special, Montessori and teacher education. He has lectured on Montessori education at university level, mentored and assessed postgraduate early-years practitioners, and held senior roles within regional Montessori and county early-years bodies. Robert also leads the Staunton Tutorial Centre, specialising in 11+ and selective-school preparation.

Managing Director

Adrienne Staunton

Adrienne co-leads The Staunton Group and brings extensive experience in Montessori and early-years education. She holds a Montessori Diploma in Education from the Montessori St Nicholas Centre in London and a Foundation Certificate in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design.

She has worked at leading Montessori schools including St Christopher’s in Letchworth, Iverna Gardens in Kensington and New World in Newmarket. Her experience also includes teaching in the pre-prep department at Wellow House and working as a play specialist at the QEII Hospital in Welwyn.

Strategist

Ben Staunton

Ben focuses on strategy, growth and the development of the group’s digital education activities. He holds a First-Class BSc in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Statistics with Finance from the University of Warwick.

He has experience across hedge-fund and investment research, including at Point72 Asset Management and Prevatt Capital. His work combines quantitative analysis, commercial strategy and technology to support the group’s long-term development.
